Product Classification
There are many types of railway spikes, but the most common classification is spiral spikes and dog spikes.
Dog spikes
Dog spikes have an L-shaped head that looks like a dog’s head and a square shank with the head angled to fit the top surface of the track foundation. Typically, spikes are offered in various sizes to meet different requirements for spike penetration length. For smaller track sections, 5/8″*6″ and 9/16″*5-1/2″ are the two most common dog spikes, and they are usually packaged in 200 lbs or less buckets or 50 lbs buckets.

Railway Screw
Threads are a shape with uniform screw protrusions on the cross-section of a solid outer or inner surface. They can be used in conjunction with plastic ferrules and cast into concrete sleepers/sleepers. Railway screw spikes can vary in thread profile, length, diameter, and drive head according to different international standards and specific geographical requirements.
SS Series Sleeper Screw Spikes
This is a more common and popular type of screw spike sold by Gnee.

Square head screw spike
The square head screw spike has a square design. Compared with the round head of the traditional spike, the square head design provides a larger contact surface area, which helps to improve the contact surface between the spike and the rail and increase the fixing stability.

Hexagonal screw spike
Its head is designed in a hexagonal shape instead of the traditional round head. This design makes it easier to rotate and fix it with a hexagonal wrench or other tools when in use. Hexagonal screw spikes include several different sizes such as: M22*145, M22*155, M22*165, M22*185, M22*195, etc.

Double head screw spike
The double head screw spike is a specially designed spike with two heads, where the larger head is used to fix on wooden or concrete sleepers, and the smaller head is used to connect with the rails.
This design makes installation more convenient and efficient, while improving the stability and firmness of the spike. Double head spiral spikes are usually used in conjunction with the Nabla clip system, which is particularly popular in Africa.
