Clip bolt & clamp bolt

Railway bolts are bolts used to fix railway tracks and sleepers. They are also called railway sleeper bolts. Railway bolts are usually made of high-strength materials. How Does Rail Bolt Fastener Work?

The main function of railroad track bolts is to fasten the rails to the track bed to ensure the stability and safety of the railway line. The bolts firmly connect the rails to the track bed through a combination of nuts and washers.
Rail bolts can be divided into round head oval neck rail bolts, diamond neck rail bolts, NF F50-008 rail bolts, fish bolts, and other special bolts.

Application Standards For Railway Bolts

According to basic rules and rail standards, each rail joint needs to be bolted, where at least two bolts in each rail are tightened to produce a torque of about 400 foot-pounds, which approximately produces between 25,000 and 30,000 pounds of tension in the rail bolts.

The bolt on rail used must be of the right size and tightened in place.
The bolts must be installed with AREMA spring washers and the nuts must be installed on the spring washers.
Bolts and nuts must be installed alternately on the inside and outside of the rails.
When the bolts and connecting rods are removed, the connection area of the rails and the contact surfaces of the connecting rods must be cleaned, and the connecting rods and bolt threads must be lubricated.
