Railway glued insulated joints are specialized connectors manufactured using a specialized process. It can also called bonded insulated rail joints. They are primarily used as insulating joints for insulated track circuits and CWR turnouts on CWR tracks, meeting the need for block separation of track circuits. They are typically installed at the block separation points or sections of railway signaling systems.
A rail glued insulated joint consists of a bonded insulating splint, rail end insulation plate, insulating sleeve, high-strength bolts, locknuts, and high-strength flat washers. During on-site installation, a high-strength adhesive is applied between the bonded insulating splint and the rail web to create a bonded insulated joint.

Technical Standards
The technical standards for railway bonded insulated joints mainly include:
All components used in production, including rails, splints, channel steel plates, high-strength bolts, and insulating materials, must pass inspection.
Clamping plates: Clamping plates should be made of No. 55 steel or other high-quality steel with performance superior to No. 55 steel, and should not be lower than that specified in TB/T 2345.
Channel steel plates: The thickness of channel steel plates should not exceed 2 mm. The steel plates should be stamped from thin sheets of high-quality carbon structural steel with technical performance not lower than that of No. 45 steel or other high-quality steel plates.
High-strengthbolts: Bolts should be high-strength bolts of at least grade 10.9S. The technical requirements for bolts, large hexagon nuts, and washers should comply with the requirements of GB/T 1231.
Insulatingmaterials: Insulating materials include insulating channel plates, insulating end plates, insulating sleeves, and adhesives. Their technical performance should comply with relevant regulations.
Advantages Of Our Glued Insulated Joint
Advantages of Gnee Rails’s railway glued Insulated Joints.
Cost Savings: The use of railway bonded insulated joints can significantly reduce railway construction and maintenance costs and improve work efficiency.
Improved Safety: The unique structure and material properties of railway bonded insulated joints ensure safe railway operations and reduce accidents.
Easy Maintenance: Maintenance and replacement of railway glued insulated joints are extremely convenient and can be performed quickly without disrupting railway operations.
In addition, railway bonded insulated joints offer high strength, corrosion resistance, moisture resistance, and shock resistance, meeting the diverse needs of railway construction and maintenance.
How To Install Glued Insulated Joint?
Insulating joint installation requirements for railway adhesively bonded insulated joints:
The distance between the insulating joint and the welded joint must not be less than 20 m.
After installation, the vertical and horizontal misalignment of the rail ends of the joint should not exceed 0.3 mm.
Before installation, the electrical resistance of the insulating clamping plates must be checked. Only those with a resistance greater than 10 MΩ can be used. After the synthetic adhesive has solidified, the resistance between rails should be greater than 1000Ω.
Maintenance Requirements: For in-service adhesive-bonded insulating joints, line workshops should perform daily, periodic, and professional joint inspections to ensure joint stability and safety.
