Product Description
The China standard light rail (GB/T 11264) weighs less than or equal to 30 kg per meter and is mainly used in low-volume, low-speed railway scenarios, such as temporary transportation lines and light locomotive lines in forest areas, mining areas, factories, construction sites, etc. These light rails strictly match the Chinese railway fastening system (such as spring clip type Ⅰ and type Ⅱ fasteners), and are highly compatible with national railway lines, but have lower costs and higher wear life, which can reduce the adaptation cost of overseas transformation projects.

Main specifications and weight ranges Of Light Rail Track
Our GB light rail has 7 standard weight categories to ensure compatibility with global project requirements:
- 8 kg/m, 12 kg/m: suitable for light industrial conveyors, warehouse logistics and small mining.
- 15 kg/m, 18 kg/m: designed for urban tram networks, agricultural railways and port cargo handling.
- 22 kg/m, 24 kg/m, 30 kg/m: designed for heavy mining operations and regional freight lines.
Material classification
The GB-standard light rail is mainly made of Q235 and 55Q materials. The following are the performance characteristics of the two materials:
Index | Q235 | 55Q |
| Chemical Composition (%) | C ≤ 0.22, Mn ≤ 1.4, Si ≤ 0.35 (Low-carbon steel) | C 0.52-0.60, Mn 0.6-0.9, Si 0.15-0.35 (Medium-high carbon steel) |
| Yield Strength (MPa) | ≥ 235 (Actual: 250-280) | ≥ 355 (Actual: 380-420) |
| Tensile Strength (MPa) | 375-500 | 600-700 (≥ 650 after normalizing) |
| Hardness (HB) | 120-150 (Excellent cold bending performance) | 240-280 (Wear-resistant reinforcement) |
| Elongation (%) | ≥ 26 (High toughness) | ≥ 14 (Trading partial toughness for wear resistance) |
| Weldability | Excellent (No preheating required, suitable for on-site processing) | Moderate (Preheating to 150℃ required to avoid cracks) |
| Typical Sizes (kg/m) | 8, 12, 15 (Mainly light rails) | 24, 30, 38 (Heavy-duty light/standard rails) |
| Core Advantages | ① Low cost ② Excellent cold bending (180° no crack, suitable for curve reconstruction) ③ Easy welding (Ideal for temporary/short-haul lines) | ① Wear-resistant (1.5x longer lifespan than Q235) ② High load capacity (25t/vehicle per rail) ③ Fatigue resistance (Suitable for annual traffic > 500,000 tons) |
